Diagnostic ultrasound scanning is a useful tool for viewing superficial musculoskeletal, soft tissue injuries. Where indicated this is done as part of the initial assessment. Doppler ultrasound may also be applied to assess potential circulatory issues associated with your injury (such as neovascularity, vascular compression). Please note that this tool is used part of an overall assessment either by one of our clinicians or by a referring clinician
