Physiotherapy is the oldest of the rehabilitation or manipulative therapies in Great Britain. The professional body - the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) – was formed in 1894 and has since been instrumental in developing the specialist branches of the profession. All Physiotherapists that are members of the CSP would have undertaken a CSP approved and validated course and therefore approved for membership of the Health Professions Council (HPC) – the body that oversees professional competence. As such they would have received professional training in musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurological Physiotherapy.

Within each subspecialty Physiotherapists will normally undertake several hours of continued professional development and/or study to higher degree level and beyond.

At TW1 Physiotherapy we are committed to ensuring that all our staff are Chartered and any support or consultancy staff or partners we may refer to or use are appropriately qualified and foremost in their field of expertise.

As Lecturers in Higher Education for Under Graduate and Post Graduate students and through our involvement in research and development, staff at TW1 Physiotherapy, demand and uphold the most current and highest quality of care for our clients.

Staff qualifications and credentials and those of our support staff and partners can be found on the CSP {www.csp.org.uk) and HPC {www.hpc-uk.org) registers.

TW1 Physiotherapy is approved by all major health insurance companies. Please refer to your individual policy to check whether self referral is acceptable or whether your General Practitioner needs to sign your medical referral
